In using DNA you are hopeful that you will closely match some other person who knows more about their line than you do yours. The data presented on specific families in the lists below is work in progress directed at locate living males willing to participate in the project as sponsored benchmarks. They are of interest because they can be traced back to specific locales in Ireland or Scotland and to times that predate census and civil or statutory registration records and thus are amongst the most comprehensive of any of the Fergus(s)on genealogies.
