Ferguson of Polebrooke Hall, Northamptonshire
This family is descended from one of two brothers, Andrew and Victor
FERGUSON, who settled in the North of Ireland having 'fled Scotland at the time
of the Rebellion.' They are said by family tradition to have been officers in
the army of William of Orange.

Warren S. Ferguson (1861-1939)
He represents an old and honored family name in the City of
Alton, Illinois, where he was b. January 16, 1861. The Fergusons for several
generations were linen drapers in Belfast, Ireland. From that city Mr.
Ferguson's grandfather crossed the ocean and settled in New York State.
