- Ferguson, John. Belonged to a northern State; settled at St. John,
New Brunswick, in 1783; received a grant of land in that city, and became a

- 1827 - July 3 - "It was unanimously resolved, that in consequence
of the little opportunity our respected Bro. John Ferguson has of being in our
province, and of his paying dues to a lodge in Great Britain, he be considered
an honorary member." This is the first election of an honorary member in the

Saint John city. He learned his trade with Messrs. J.& A. McMillan and was
for many years foreman in that establishment. This afternoon the funeral will

- July 15 1893 The Daily Sun The death is announced this
morn. of Charles FERGUSON, printer, after a short illness. The deceased had
been in failing health during the winter, but he grew weaker and passed away
Friday morn. The deceased was in the employ of J.& A. McMillan for the last
32 years. He leaves a wife, three daughters and one son, Fred FERGUSON of the
Post Office dept. The funeral will take place from his residence 135 Orange St.
Sunday 2:30 o'clock. The St. John Typographical Union will attend the funeral
