Andrew J Ferguson is as far back as I have on this line but I don’t have dates for him.

John Ferguson b 1843 TN in the above census is the direct line, he served in the Civil War (Union). He was killed on Newman Ridge, Hancock County TN in 1893. Elizabeth (possibly dau of John GREY b 1795 SC and Susannah b 1794 VA) is a widow of Andrew Ferguson and she dies shortly after this census was taken. Wesley (above son) states in his military pension record that his father was Andrew and his mom died in 1850.

John Ferguson married Amanda ANDERSON 1848-1940 //C.H. Anderson b 1820 and Eleanor Callicot b 1821, Carter Anderson died at Andersonville prison in Georgia during the Civil War.

John Ferguson had a large family, direct line son is Robert McHenry Ferguson b 1879 Hancock County TN.
