Alexander b: 1736 ? emigrated with 400 highlanders to Sir Johnson's land 1773 his brother Peter followed 1778, He came over with Angus and Donald Cameron. Though some records state the group were all Catholic, Alexanders daughter was baptised in 1776 in the Dutch reform Church in Caughnawaga Fonda NY (Alexander Phergoson and Anna Phares daughter Maragriet b: 1776 May 9) and Alexander was laid to rest in a Protestant cemetery. He is recorded in the Kings Royal Regiment of NY A.McDonnell's Company muster roll. In 1782 his age was recorded at 50, but his son William put his age at 50 on his death in 1786
