Haplogroup R-U106, Clade: Ulster to Virginia

 dna

This clade is so named for two reasons:

  1. the ancestry of three of the participants can be traced to one John Henry FERGUSON born about 1692, Ulster and the first immigrant in the family appears in Virginia.
  2. the marker value DYS390=25 is generally indicative of Irish ancestry. [Kevin D. Campbell, 2007]

Haplotype Table

When compared to the R1b modal this clade is characterized by DYS390=25, DYS389-2=30, DYS458=18, DYS437=14, DYS449=30 and DYD464c=15.
