The R1a NW Europe modal haplotype is from the R1a1a and Subclades Y-DNA Project. This clade is characterized by DYS492=14 and is L664+. The R1a English modal haplotype from the World Haplogroup & Haplo-I Subclade Predictor Reference Page is also shown as this was once the standard of comparison for these Ferguson. Project participants in this clade are advised to upgrade to 67 markers and SNP test L664 to confirm the suggested classification as NW Europe.
