• These Ferguson are Haplogroup R1b - Clade: Scots and they differ consistently from the Scots modal at markers DYS458=17, DYS464c=16, DYS456=15 and DYS442=13.
• The genealogical relationships depicted below and the associated DNA results are consistent with one another. That is not to say the genealogy has been proved beyond reasonable doubt but rather it has been put to test and passed which it must do if it is correct. This conclusion is based on all the observed pairwise TMRCA being less than the 95% TMRCA and an analysis of the marker mutations. The analysis is on these pages:
