The Mary Ferguson Fiser File includes a William FERGUSON born about 1736 in Essex Co., VA who died in SC, however no wife or children are shown. Amongst public trees parents cited include: unknown, James FERGUSON=Anne, James FERGUSON=Anne MARKEHAM, and George FERGUSON=Emily WOOD. Ferguson, deceased, and was born in Fairfield District, on the 16th March, 1793, and became a member of the Methodist society in Kershaw District, Jan. 11, 1807, and was married to Rev. Robert Corley, 25 June 1815...Baptist church at Sardis, in Edgefield District...In March, 1829, she was left a widow with four little children. She saw these two boys buried in baptism.... The younger son, Robert, fell in Mexico, on 20th August 1847...(long eulogy).
